My name is Kevin McGonnell I started snapping images around 14 years ago while at art college studying sculpture. It was, in fact my lecturer who got me into photography through showing me some of her old 35mm photographs and inspiring me to use photography as part of my research and development with sculpture. I further increased my experience when I decided I would try to capture the essence of how it feels to play in a live band and spent many years experimenting with different techniques in the live music arena.
Only recently have I decided to move towards shooting model portfolios and clothing although it has always been something I've had great interest in. It never fails to be visually stunning, exciting and extremely creative. I'm currently spending most of my photographic life at the moment shooting garments for vintage outlets and independent clothing designers, I'm also spending a lot of time working with concepts for my own shoots, recruiting make up artists and models who are wanting to increase their portfolios.
There are so many creative avenues and so many possibilities with photography, every time I go out on a shoot there is a new challenge and something new to learn. This is what keeps me going.
